(Nashville, Tenn.) Jan. 31, 2011 – On Saturday, Jan. 22nd, Christian rock band Third Day took the stage on the beach in Vila Velha, Brazil during the 20th annual Jesus Vida Verao festival. The band played for a record-breaking crowd of 70,000 people, marking the largest turnout in the history of the festival. Brazilian Sony Music artist Marcus Salles joined Third Day on stage to sing the band’s songs “Cry Out to Jesus” and “Agnes Day,” with lead singer Mac Powell and Salles performing the megahits in Portuguese. The band plans to return to Brazil in summer 2011.
Third Day is currently powering up the national radio charts with its new single “Children of God,” breaking into the Top 10 on the National Christian Audience Chart at No. 9.
